After a whirlwind weekend, Kathie, Bern, and the girls were down to their last several hours. We walked the path to Le District so they could get another glimpse of Lady Liberty and the New Jersey skyline.
The beauty of eating at Le District – the open French market, is that everyone can order whatever sounds good to them from the variety offered here, whether sandwiches, soups, or hot plates. Others can sit at the wine bar and order from a menu that includes French wine, and we did. EVERYONE was happy. And for dessert, we celebrated “Cake Pop Day” just outside of Le District. It was perfect.
We walked back to their hotel through the tunnel from Le District to the Oculus and out to the 9/11 Memorial. Believe it or not, I laid on my back on the not-so-clean sidewalk to take this photo.
Their final minutes in NYC were spent shopping. Doesn’t that just fit?
